On July 23-24, 2022, Pécs will again be the centre of the basketball world, as the 2nd International Basketball Conference hosts world-famous speakers from the peak of Basketball. One of the star guests is Nick Nurse who led the Toronto Raptors to the top of the NBA Championship in 2019.
The 1st International Basketball Conference organized by the Center for Basketball Methodology and Education in January had a huge domestic and international impact. As soon as it was held, the organizers started to arrange the second, entitled “Multipractice”, taking place on July 23-24 at the National Basketball Academy, in Pécs.
As in January, the July conference also will feature presentations by professionals from the peak of basketball! Here are some names from the list: Nick Nurse, NBA Champion of 2018-2019, and NBA coach of the year in 2020, will visit Pécs in person, and will give 5(!) presentations; Robert “Bob” McKillop (with 4 presentations during the conference!), who discovered and raised the two time NBA MVP Stephen Curry; Davorin Nakic, the head of the referee department at FIBA Europe; Zoltán Török, the president of the Women Euroleague Champion Sopron Basket; Dr. Julio Calleja-Gonzalez, the Chair of the University of the Basque Country, personal performance scientist of the 2019 NBA Champion Serge Ibaka; Prof. Dr. Sc. Igor Jukic, the Head of Croatian High Performance Sport Center, as a part of the Croatian Olympic Committee; Ernest Radjen, seven years assistant coach in Aris Thessaloniki and three years at PAOK Thessaloniki, the international mentor coach at Rátgéber Academy; Dr. László Németh, who has coached Premier Division Basketball teams in five different countries, winning national titles in four, and coached three different Senior Men National teams; Dr. habil. László Rátgéber, master coach, EuroLeague winner with Spartak Moscow in 2009, Coach of the Year in Europe and the professional and strategic director of National Basketball Academy, the host of the Conference.
The 2nd International Basketball Conference will give participants more than the first, as this time beside the theoretical presentations, there will be practical sessions presented by the best professionals in the world.
